Path of painters
Visit the houses where famous painters like Giotto and Beato Angelico lived. Tradition tells that the young Giotto liked to portray sheep engraving them on a stone plate. It was meanwhile noted by Cimabue, and was employed in the master’s workshop in Florence, and so Giotto’s dazzling career began.
The Mountain Giovi area is with no doubts of great naturalistic interest, and, in spite of its limited altitude (992 metres above sea level), presents typically mountainous characteristics such as dense chestnut and beech woods. You can reach it by foot from the agriturismo
Enjoy beautiful walks along the Sieve river, home of many beautiful birds like Aarons. Paths along the river are also available for bike tours. Kayak tours, depending on the river water conditions can be also organised from some touristic centre of the area
Get genuine products directly from the countryside, find souvenirs and live like a local at the weekly town markets. The market in Dicomano is every Saturday morning, and the one in Vicchio every Thursday morning.

Florence city center
Florence, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, is so close that you can’t miss the opportunity to visit it. You can reach the city by car or simply by train. The nearest Train station is Vicchio.
It’s a tourist area located just a few minutes from Barberino di Mugello, offering several outdoor activities ( sailing, windsurfing, canoeing etc) In the summertime, the lakeside is suitable for swimming and there are bathing establishments with beach umbrellas, sunbeds and refreshment bars
Mugello Circuit (Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello) is a race track. Its length is 5.245 km. It has 14 turns and a long straight 1.141 km. The circuit stadium stands have a capacity of 50,000. Grand Prix motorcycle racing host an annual event here (MotoGP and smaller classes). The track is property of Scuderia Ferrari.
The outdoor village “Outlet Barberino” offers over 100 shops and 21000 square meters of shopping at prices reduced by 30% – 70% year-round. You can find here many famous luxury and non-luxury brands with incredible prices! Restaurants and cafes allow you to spend the whole.
Il Gabbianello. During migration, the area is often visited by many birds, including white storks, cranes and woodland geese, as well as pink flamingos during their autumnal migration, plus the permanent resident predators such as buzzards, peregrine falcons, kestrels and hen harriers.
Poggio dei Medici. Opened in 1992, with 18 holes par 73, and a Championship course of 6.468 meters long, the UNA Poggio dei Medici Golf Club course is one of the finest in Italy. Designed by the architect Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and by the golfer Baldovino Dassù, it was built to USGA standards. Poggio dei Medici was immediately recognized as “The Best New Golf Course” in Italy
